Clement Gibson is a passionate storyteller with a knack for weaving compelling narratives that captivate readers. His journey started in Monrovia, Liberia, before his family moved to the United States in 1997 following the country’s Civil War. They lived in Montgomery County, Maryland, before settling in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for the next fourteen years.

 

Gibson is an alumnus of Columbia University, Jackson State University, Long Beach City College, and North Country Community College, where he earned a master’s of science in strategic communication, a bachelor’s of science degree in mass communication: media arts and journalism, and two associates degrees in business administration and communication studies.

 

He draws inspiration from his life experiences while living in every region of the United States and the many people, cultures, and personalities he’s encountered along the way. Gibson is also an avid NBA fan and film lover and enjoys playing basketball, working out, going to Yoga, and celebrating his friends’ and family’s life accomplishments when he is not writing.

 

The Liberia native has explored many facets of storytelling in his ten plus years as a writer, including poetry, playwriting, filmmaking, screenplay writing, journalism, and now novel writing and has been honored to win the Spike Lee Triple Threat Award for writing, directing and acting, the S. Randolph Edmonds Playwriting Champion for the play, Thirteen, Male Journalist of the Year, the Atlanta Hawks Inaugural Sekou Smith Experience Intern, Writers Guild of America, West Publisher and Performing Arts Student of the Year for writing, directing, and acting in the play, Dreamweaver.

 

Clement currently resides in New Jersey, works in Manhattan as a Media Supervisor on the Programmatic Investment team and is always on the lookout for the next great story. The Boy Next Door’s Secrets may be his first published novel, but he’s already working on the second novel of this trilogy and plans to bring many more stories to life.
